Killing Rommel is a superb book. I read this because I loved most of Steven Pressfield’s other books, not because I was particularly interested in the subject matter.

His historical fiction is hard to beat/5(). For me personally, this book is exactly what I like to read for personal enjoyment. I say this for several reasons. First, it is not just a novel, Killing Rommel is indeed a work of fiction but the battles, locations, and key characters are all historically accurate/5.

Killing Rommel is a superb book. I read this because I loved most of Steven Pressfield’s other books, not because I was particularly interested in the subject matter. His historical fiction is hard to beat. There is always a good storyline; you can feel the level of research that has gone into every work/5().

Killing Rommel is the latest effort from the noted historical fiction author, Steven Pressfield. This fast paced book is different than most of Pressfield's titles which normally focus on ancient warfare. As the title suggests, this story is set during World War II.5/5(5).

Killing Rommel is the story of one fictional mission (though others like it took place in real life), an attempt to infiltrate the Afrika Korps in the field and eliminate its invincible general. Books have a way of becoming more, and different, than you think they will when you start to write them.
